I know that this isn't BDSM related, but as so many people visit here on a regular basis, I thought I'd bring this to peoples attention.
Microsoft are tightening down on licence cheats and pirates. Apple stuff is hideously expensive. So I invite you to a new blog Linux Crusade where I take a machine that is a couple of years old (nearer three) and install Ubuntu Linux on it.
I'll go through the every day set up that the average user is concerned about, explain the basics and then go on to discover the application solutions to the everyday things that I want to use the computer for. There will be times when you have to resort to the dreaded terminal, but only for the odd command or two, and I'll explain the commands as we go.
So, if you are thinking of ditching your Windows machine and dropping in on Linux, follow me in, because I believe it is worth the effort.
